I’ve just got the Sony A99ii within today, and took some photos with it and I will share to you within this post. The photos were mostly taken indoor or at night. I will post some more photo taken in daylight tomorrow.
I’m impressed with A99ii abilities, this is the reason why I got rid A7Rii and E-mount lenses and keep all my A-mount lenses and waiting for it.
The sample images are just applied lens profiles in Lightroom only. All photos were taken at F/1.4 with Sigma 35mm f/1.4 SSM.
35mm f/1.4, 1/100s, iso 1600, full size
35mm f/1.4, 1/80s, iso 1250, full size
35mm f/1.4, 1/80s, iso 1250, full size
35mm f/1.4, 1/80s, iso 1000, full size
35mm f/1.7, 1/100s, iso 3200, full size
a picture of me, taken by my colleague, 35mm f/1.4, 1/125s, iso 640, full size
For image quality, I think it is on par with Sony A7Rii. The A99ii is better than A7Rii in many aspects, especially AF speed, lowlight AF, 12 frames per second (vs 5 frames per second), better ergonomic.
I feel very comfortable with the A99ii body, and it is well balance with the big and heavy f/2.8 zoom lenses.
Love it, I will share more about my experience with A99ii to you soon!
Happy shooting!
